That’s right folks! The city of Nashville is holding a shindig for the General Jackson Showboat.  And guess what? You’re invited!

On Friday, July 2, the Jackson will have two birthday party boat excursions – at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. – for just $8 each, the same price charged in 1985. Hmm…just $8 for a fantastic ride on a showboat where music, food, and drinks will be in attendance? I’m there!

There are also other events going on next week to commemorate the boats anniversary. On Wed., June 30, the excursion will be turned into an 80′s dance party cruise for the night. Also, celebrity captains will be on board from June 30-July 2.

Boarding begins a half-hour before the cruise starts, and each cruise lasts 90 minutes.

So put on your party hats, and sing Happy Birthday to General Jackson!
