Eastern Washington University is Seeing Red…Literally

So, it seems as if Boise State isn’t the only school with a passion for flair with their “smurf turf”, the all blue football field. Eastern Western University has set in motion plays to install an all RED turf on their football field for the 2010 season. Now’s there’s an eyecatcher if I ever saw one!

The NCAA doesn’t have regulations about the color of playing fields–at least not yet. Only Boise State and University of New Haven have added such creativity to their fields, so there’s really no regulatory measures needed. Now, in the years to come and more and more schools do this, then maybe a rule will have to come into play. 

So now, instead of grass stains on EWU football jerseys, there’ll be red stains? Hmm. I think this will be interesting.
