Hey South Wind! Are you the type that asks for the restaurant’s score when you walk in the door? I have a couple friends like that. Even though it may fluster the wait staff at times, I think it’s a very valid and important question. You need to know the quality of food that you’re eating, right? Well, here’s a slide show of the recent scores of some of your favorite restaurants around Williamson County.

Hey sleepy heads! It’s time to come out of your Winter time hibernation, and embrace the budding beauty of Spring! Hopefully, Mother Nature reads the South Wind Apartments blog, and will take note that we’re done with winter weather!

So what does the oncoming Spring entail? Sure, you’re ready to lounge by the pool, get outside, and play in the dirt again. But what about that New Year’s Resolution that some of you made? Yes, I’m talking to you! You know, that promise that you made to yourself to workout and become healthier for 2010?

Well, now it should come easier since your days aren’t so blistering cold. Make up a routine, and try it out! The sun is your friend. To help you with your workouts, why not try a few gadgets that will help to guide you on your way? Buy an arm strap for your iPod to take your tunes with you on your morning blog, take a calorie counter/step counter on your bike ride. Whatever it is you do, just make sure that you feel good doing it, and you know you’ll be happy with the results?

Ok South Wind. Those that know me, know that I am a HUGE kid at heart. That being said, one of my childhood favs has never been able to clear out of my system: The Muppets. I still laugh uproariously whenever I see them dance across my television or computer screen. What warmed my heart was to know that they were still around today and making videos! One video in particular that i LOVE is the Muppets ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, by Queen. Check it out!

I’ve never seen an American Bald Eagle in person. I wish I had, though. I’ve heard that they’re a bird like no other; majestic and beautiful in their transgressions.

Little Ethan Bezuidenhout of Franklin saw one, but no one believed him at first. (It’s hard being a kid sometimes, isn’t it?) Then his family saw the bird — and another — diving into the neighborhood’s lake trying to catch a duckling and knew the 6-year-old wasn’t just being imaginative.

For weeks since then, homeowners in the Jackson Lake subdivision near the intersection of Mallory Station and Franklin roads have caught other glimpses of American bald eagles flying by.

Amazing, right? The American Bald Eagle has gone from being endangered, to threatened, to just needing to be managed. This gives me hope that I may see one fly by one day.

Grammy nominated Def Jam recording artist Chrisette Michele will be performing at the The Mercy Lounge Cannery Ballroom in Nashville on March 4, 2010 at 8 pm.

I think that Chrisette Michele has a very nice voice with a unique sound, and in this day and age of music, we need something a little different. I think the performance will be a treat, and if you have a ticket, or can find a way there, you should go.
